GlobalCharts is a reading site. There are no accounts, no tracking cookies, and no advertising trackers today. We keep ordinary web server logs, and we store your email address only if you subscribe to our email. We do not sell personal information.
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our server records standard request logs: IP address, browser user agent, the pages requested, and timestamps. We use them to operate, secure, and debug the site and to understand aggregate traffic.
Email address. Only if you choose to subscribe to our email. Delivery is handled by our email service provider, which processes your address on our behalf and records standard delivery and open metrics.
Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google and your IP address reaches Google in that request, subject to Google's privacy policy.
To operate and secure the site, to measure aggregate readership, to send the email you asked for, and to comply with law. We do not build advertising profiles of readers and we do not sell or rent personal information.
We share information only with service providers that run the Service for us (hosting, email delivery), when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of GlobalCharts and others, or as part of a business transfer. Aggregate statistics that identify no individual (for example, total readership) may be shared with sponsors.
Server logs are kept for a limited operational period and then rotated out. Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe; unsubscribes are retained on a suppression list so we do not email you again.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by writing to contact@globalcharts.com; we honor verified requests. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional statutory rights, which we will honor as the law requires.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, though no system is perfectly secure. The Service is hosted in the United States; by using it you understand that your information is processed in the United States.
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
